Methodology and data sources: This job market analysis is based on all publicly available jobs for financial advisors and planners posted on LinkedIn and Indeed during April 2024.

- 4,600 jobs posted in April or 2,500 jobs without staffing & recruiting firms
- 538 financial firms had new job posts on either LinkedIn or Indeed
- Top 5 states ranked by number of new jobs are: CA, TX, FL, NY, and CO & MA (tie)

According to CFP Board, the median income for a financial planner is currently benchmarked at:

  • $152,000 with 5-10 years of experience,
  • $206,000 with 10-20 years of experience,
  • $250,000 with 20+ years of experience.
